Moving Forward by Looking Back

Known for its serpentine shape, River City was designed by Bertrand Goldberg in 1986. It began as apartments, was converted into condos, and is now being renovated into apartments again. Goldberg’s original vision was to create a city within a city — a place where you can live, work, play, and learn. With these modernized apartments, we’re bringing his idea back to life.

“Even in the most usual buildings, architecture is the public art that shows people what they’ve been thinking. And when architecture creates an unusual building with a new technology, it even can nudge social change forward another few inches.”

Bringing a Landmark Vision Back to South Loop

Our renovated apartments feature quartz countertops and unique sculptural backsplash tile from Spain. As part of this project being the largest condo deconversion in Chicago history, we’re also adding an all-new fitness center, co-working spaces, a dog run, and gathering areas. This renewed landmark is waiting for you — new apartments are available now.
